Data Privacy Statement

As part of the application process, you will be required to enter personal information, including sensitive personal information, into the recruitment database system.  This personal data is used to identify suitability towards job vacancies you have either applied for or are assessed against using your credentials kept within the system.

Only authorized personnel within SEANOVATE MARINE, INC., and its Principals/Ship owners who are under obligation to maintain information security and confidentiality, shall have access to personal data for purposes of recruitment.  During various stages of the recruitment process, SEANOVATE MARINE, INC., may disclose personal data either to relevant employees of Principals/Shipowners who are involved within the recruitment process or to government agencies/instrumentalities/departments or law enforcement agencies in order to conduct necessary security checks required for employment in SEANOVATE MARINE, INC., or any of its Principals/Shipowners.

All personal information entered into the system will be kept secure using technologies and other security measures to ensure information protection from loss, misuse, disclosure or other inappropriate actions.

Material deemed inappropriate is prohibited from being added or uploaded onto the system, including unlawful, defamatory, inflammatory, pornographic, libelous or any other material considered subject to possible criminal offense, legal liability or law breaking.  SEANOVATE MARINE, INC., or its Principals/Ship owners are within their legal right to cooperate with constituents of the law in order to identify or disclose information about the source of inappropriate materials.

By agreeing to these terms, you authorize SEANOVATE MARINE, INC., and its Principals/Ship owners to store and maintain your personal information, including sensitive personal information, for recruitment activity.  This information will remain on the database for a maximum of five (5) years after which time it will be deleted.

Fraudulent Recruitment

SEANOVATE MARINE, INC., and its Principals/Ship owners are aware of fraudulent activity relating to agents or individuals claiming to act on behalf of organizations in order to solicit money through recruitment methods.
SEANOVATE MARINE, INC., and its Principals/Ship owners will never charge or take money from individuals seeking employment within our organization.

All applicants must apply for vacancies under our recruitment system to be considered for employment. SEANOVATE MARINE, INC., or its Principals/Ship owners do not accept liability arising from personal loss or damage in connection with the abovementioned fraudulent activity.

I have read and understood the above privacy terms relating to the submission and usage of my personal information, including sensitive personal information.  I consent to the information management of this data as described above in accordance with this Data Privacy Statement and in compliance with the Date Privacy Act of 2012 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.
